Leesburg Home Destroyed By Fire

PHOTO: Firefighters were called to the scene of an active house fire at a residence on County Road 44 in Leesburg on Friday afternoon. Leesburg, Sand Rock, Centre, Tucker’s Chapel and Spring Creek Fire Departments responded just before 3:30 p.m. First on scene units reported that the structure was heavily involved in flames. Leesburg Police Investigators, Leesburg Police Chief Jamie Chatman, Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Floyd EMS Medics responded to the scene. Chief Chatman said that everyone was able to safely get out of the home and that the investigation is being handled by Investigator Hunter Brisendine.
