VIDEOS: Crews were called at 9:11 p.m. When they arrived, heavy flames were visible from the smoking unit. Firefighters put it out within 15 to 20 minutes, according to Chief Kimmerling. The structure sustained “extensive damage.” The restaurant was closed at the time. Kimmerling says they may have been a few patrons still inside, but it was mainly staff cooking and preparing for the next day. Orange Beach Fire Chief Mike Kimmerling tells News 5 everyone was able to get out safely. Overnight Moe’s BBQ updated their Facebook page saying they’re grateful for the Orange Beach Fire Department and community support. They will be closed for a time but they say they’ll “be rockin’ and rollin’ in no time.”
