A two-vehicle accident between a school bus and a SUV occurred Thursday morning near Government Street and Michigan Ave. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded to the scene around 6:50 a.m. According to officials, the driver of the SUV was driving in the opposite lane before losing control and crashing head-on into the school bus. Mobile police have confirmed that the driver of the SUV has died. Police has identified the deceased as Rachel Martin, 49. There were several children on the bus, however no one on the bus sustained any injuries. Mobile Fire-Rescue spokesperson Steven Millhouse stated that Martin was the only occupant in the SUV. Mobile police are handling the investigation of the accident.
