Despite the financial difficulties currently being encountered by the Arizona Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety the annual Arizona State Fire School will be held as scheduled September 8-12, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. The Arizona State Fire Training Committee, who has worked with the State Fire Marshals Office for many years in the planning and coordination of the fire school will this year assume full responsibility for the program. The goal for this year is to maintain the format and quality of the course offerings and begin to look for ways to improve the school for the future. A fire school website has been created and preliminary information concerning the 2010 school may be found now at www.azfireschool.org. Fire service members from within, and outside, Arizona are encouraged to plan now to attend the 37th Annual Fire School offering in September.
