PRIORITY REQUEST: Support Needed for Fire School Funding Request

As you may be aware Chief Randy Redmond has been working diligently to obtain funding through the state budget to support the state fire school.  He has obtained the backing of Rep. David Gowen (District 30) who has gotten a line item of $100,000 included in the current House Budget to  “support volunteer firefighter training through the Arizona State Fire School”.   There is no bill or resolution number, it is just included as part of the proposed budget.  At the present time there is no companion line item in either the Governor’s or Senate’s proposed budget but that is being worked on.

We need your assistance in contacting the Representatives / Senators from your area and encouraging them to support the volunteer firefighter training line item and to keep it in the budget as it moves through the approval process.

At this point in the legislative session things begin to move very quickly so don’t delay – please make contact today.  And pass this along to others in your area who may not receive the Daily Dispatch and ask for their assistance and support as well – and encourage them to sign up for the Daily Dispatch, it’s quick and easy.
