Oregon State Fire Marshal
Location: Salem - Marion County
The Oregon State Fire Marshal is looking for a new Fire Service Safety Specialist! We encourage all qualified candidates who share our passion for public service and a strong desire to increase fire and life safety of Oregonians to apply.
As the Fire Service Safety Specialist, you will be able to blend your knowledge of fire safety with your experience analyzing policies, coordinating operational safety practices at the statewide level, and developing legislative concepts to support health, safety, emergency medical, and mental wellness initiatives. In this role, you will have the chance to coordinate with a variety of staff and stakeholders including Deputy State Fire Marshals, Incident Management Team members, Regional Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Teams, Safety Assessment Program Evaluators, and firefighters within the Oregon Fire Service Mutual Aid System (OFSMAS) across the state.
