Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to conduct fire and life safety inspection work including fire code
enforcement, permitting, and other related activities.
This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt, revenue dependent position covered by the provisions of an agreement between the City and Vancouver Fire Department Guild. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. *Upon successful completion of probation and/or training, flexible hours may be considered.
Fire Code Officer's are governed under Civil Service Rules (non
sworn)
