Location: El Segundo, CA
The City of El Segundo is pleased to announce a recruitment opening for the position of Fire Marshal ($9,236 to $11,227 per month). Candidates are encouraged to apply immediately as the recruitment is open on a continuous basis, with a first review of applications on October 8, 2021. This position requires the following:
Education: Equivalent to an Associate’s degree in fire science or related field from an accredited college. Bachelor’s degree in Fire protection engineering or related field is desired, but not required.
Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in fire code, environmental compliance, and fire prevention/inspection including experience leading and/or supervising others.
Certificate: Must obtain PC832 certification within two years of appointment. Fire Marshal certificate issued by the California State Fire Marsal is desirable.
