Klickitat County EMS District No. 1 (Klickitat County, Washington) is seeking a strong EMS leader to fill their Operations Manager position. This is an outstanding, service driven, community-oriented EMS District.
The EMS district operates out of three stations with a progressive, motivated and dedicated force of 18 full-time employees and an on-call force of 12. The EMS District is an active provider of emergency medical services as well as a provider for inter-facility transports from two local hospitals, one in Goldendale and the other in White Salmon. The District’s annual operating expenses are approximately $2.5 million, with roughly $1.5 million provided through tax revenue.
Klickitat County is 1904 square miles in size and serves an established population of approximately 22,000 residents. The area consists of rolling grass lands, farms, orchards, vineyards, timberland and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, which is situated along the southern border shared with Oregon. During the summer months our population nearly doubles due to the many visitors who come to enjoy swift-water rafting, mountain biking, sailboarding, kiteboarding, paragliding and hiking.
