Tim Shurr Training Scholarships
The National Volunteer Workforce Solutions program for Inclusion and Diversity, in partnership with the International Association of Fire Chiefs Volunteer & Combination Officers Section, is offering scholarships for 15 future leaders from combination and volunteer fire departments to participate in the "Mesmerizing Leadership" online training series by Tim Shurr. To be eligible, you must be a volunteer or paid on-call/hourly. Career personnel are not eligible for this scholarship.
Managing personality types, improving communication among different generations, and instilling values-based behavior within fire departments are just some of the topics included in this course. These programs will be held online over a three-month period (a series of six one-hour classes every two weeks) and include lectures, Q&A, quizzes, review materials, and a certificate of completion.
