A man in his 30s was killed Monday evening when a van crashed into his car near Snohomish, emergency officials said.
Deputies and medics with Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to the scene, in the 11000 block of Springhetti Road, at about 8:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash.
They found a large van had crashed into the passenger side of a Honda car, said Fire District 7 spokeswoman Heather Chadwick. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
The driver of the van was uninjured in the crash.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation, said Snohomish County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton.
