A building that once housed JT's Steak and Fishhouse in Longview suffered fire damage Saturday morning, according to Longview Fire Department officials.
Battalion Chief Troy Buzalsky said firefighters were called to the 1200 block of 14th Avenue just after 7 a.m. after multiple calls came in describing "flames through the roof."
However, according to Buzalsky, the exterior of the building was untouched. When crews entered the former steakhouse, they found heavy damage from smoke and flames. Eventually, firefighters located the fire in the building's kitchen area and extinguished it, Buzalsky said.
He said crews had the fire under control by 7:37 a.m. No other buildings or nearby field spaces were damaged in the fire and no one was injured, Buzalsky said.
