A fire crew from West Pierce Fire & Rescue gave a little of kittens oxygen after ensuring all residents and pets were out of a burning home. The crew was called to a house fire in the 9800 block of Forest Avenue SW in Lakewood at 6 a.m. Thursday. Crews arrived to find flames visible from the house and all occupants out of the home. No one was hurt. Five kittens in the home were given oxygen by firefighters as a precaution. Pierce fire says they are all doing well and were not hurt. The Red Cross is helping the family who were displaced after the fire.
