When winter weather hits, there's no snow days for emergency responders. Action News found out how our local firefighters work around the storm to keep you safe in emergencies during the winter season.
“If you knew it was your relative we were trying to help you would want to do everything to help us get there safely,” said Pasco Fire Department’s Ben Shearer.
Emergencies don't stop in snow and ice, and neither do our first responders, but they’re human too. “Even though we are equipped with chains and extra equipment to make sure we can get around that doesn’t mean we can get there faster safely,” said Shearer, adding “We still have to get there safely in order to get there at all.
