More than 100 first graders in Moses Lake received some much needed warmth this week thanks to the Moses Lake firefighters Operation Warm program.
As temperatures dropped in the single digits, the Moses Lake Firefighters Local 1258 distributed 120 new winter coats on Wednesday to children in need, making stops at Midway, Peninsula, Knolls Vista, North, Larson and Longview elementary schools. Moses Lake firefighters began their Operation Warm campaign in 2014 and have donated more than 300 coats to students in the Moses Lake School District.
