Last week, the 100 Women Who Care – Snoqualmie Valley Chapter meet for its quarterly meeting and voted to support the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund this quarter, with a donation of almost $14,000. The group of more than 100 women meets every quarter, and each member donates $100 to raise awareness for a charity that benefits the community. Dawn Harper and Heidi Hendricks nominated the benevolent fund for the donation. Eastside Firefighters Local 2878 started the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to provide relief to people suffering from poverty, homelessness, and other needs in the communities served by Eastside Firefighters. These communities include Eastside Fire & Rescue, Fall City Fire, Duvall Fire, and Snoqualmie Fire Department.
