Thousands of dollars worth of beer and wine went up in flames Tuesday night in Westport. Firefighters were called to the Cranberry Road Winery on South Forrest Street and State Route 109 just after 6:00 p.m. By the time crews arrived, the entire building, which also houses the Bog Water Brewery, was engulfed in flames. "There was smoke and flames venting from the roof and the front bay doors," said Westport Fire Captain Dave Bell. Firefighters from five other districts were called in to help battle the blaze. No one was hurt and both businesses were closed at the time. Investigators say the building was completely destroyed.
