Two firefighters were injured Saturday afternoon in a brush fire on Hensley Hollow Road in the Luttrell area of Union County. Luttrell, Maynardville, and Paulette volunteer fire departments arrived on scene around 4 p.m. Saturday. The resident, Donnie Norris, was having a small brush fire in his backyard, and wind carried the flames to the woods. According to Paulette Fire Chief Daniel Rice, two Paulette firefighters, Ryan Lloyd and Justin Vallone, suffered smoke inhalation and dehydration. They received treatment and are now doing well. The fire caused no damage to Norris's home or surrounding homes. Norris says the fire burned 52 acres of wooded land behind the house.
