La Grande’s new interim fire chief has come a long way since he started out as a small-town volunteer firefighter.
Greg Keller, who has Salem Fire Chief and Portland Fire and Rescue Division Chief on his resume, is now filling the position of La Grande Fire Department’s interim fire chief.
Keller grew up south of Seattle, but moved with his family to Oregon in 1970. He’s spent most of his life in Oregon, and considers himself a native northwestern.
