The Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a grassfire in Papago on Tuesday afternoon.
DFEMs acting public information officer Linus Mizutani said a total of 4 acres were burnt based on mop-up operations. No one was injured and no property was damaged, Mizutani added.
DFEMS received a report of the grassfire on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 1:58 p.m.
At 2:08 p.m., Forestry-1 and Rescue-1 from the Susupe Fire Station arrived at the scene, Mizutani said, adding that Forestry-1 immediately suppressed the fire.
At 3:22 p.m., Mizutani said the grassfire was under control and at 4:40 p.m. it was fully extinguished.
DFEMS is reminding the general public to take extra precautions and help prevent such wildfires.
