Perry firefighters put out a blaze, and then they went the extra mile: They gave away their Thanksgiving feast to the fire victims. The city of Perry posted about the random act of kindness on its Facebook page. Perry Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched at 2:39 p.m. last Wednesday to a kitchen fire, according to the Facebook post. Arriving firefighters found light smoke billowing from the roof vents of the Gordy Street home. The residents were gathered in the front yard.
