Fort Myers firefighters rushed on the scene to reports of a fire at an abandoned building off Broadway Ave. near Winkler Ave. Fire crews quickly contained the fire and said it started in an abandoned medical center. Luckily, no one was injured in the fire. The day before and just feet away, the same fire crews responded to an intentional fire at the Vista Palms Apartment Complex. The Florida State Fire Marshal is investigating the abandoned building fire as suspicious. Investigators are also looking to see if the two fires are related.
