Emergency responders heading to a call where a car hit three kids and two adults were in a separate crash Thursday morning. The second crash around 8:15 a.m. happened at the intersection of North Nebraska and Bougainvillea avenues sent two Tampa firefighters to Tampa General Hospital. The crash knocked a paramedic inside the ambulance unconscious. Both firefighters were in stable condition, Tampa Fire Rescue said. Tampa Fire Rescue said a black sedan hit the driver's side of the ambulance as it was going southbound on Nebraska Avenue and turning east onto Bougainvillea Avenue. The crash caused the ambulance to hit a concrete power pole. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue personnel took the driver of the sedan to Florida Hospital in Tampa. The firefighters were responding to the bus stop crash at Bougainvillea Avenue and Marvy, which involved three children and two adults.
