A child was severely burned in a fire early Saturday morning at a multi-family motel complex located at 353 West James Lee Boulevard. According to a press release from the Crestview Fire Department, multiple units arrived on scene at the complex at approximately 12:08 a.m. to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the front of Room 129 at the Hilton Motel. It took personnel approximately 20 minutes, according to the release, to contain and extinguish the fire. Major damage to the remainder of the motel complex was prevented. A family with several children lived in the room where the fire originated.
