What does it mean to be “elected” to represent a large number of people before some agency, board, judge or authority that has the power to impact every person you represent, and you discover or decide that you are not totally committed to serving those who elected you?
Well, it means that you will disgrace yourself before your peers, your co-workers and the employees, as well as the staff and leadership of the agency you are now a part of, and more importantly it means that you will deprive your electorate of their voice as to how they are to be governed, taxed or permitted to partake of the freedoms under the control of a powerful agency.
It means that you are of no value to the democratic process of governance during your term of office.
