Members of Miracle Revival Center in Seaford, Delaware, are thankful after an arson attempt made at their church was unsuccessful.
The pastor, Isaac Ross, says the attempt happened on Sunday after church service. Ross says he returned back to the building and immediately noticed a strong gasoline odor in the air.
After heading toward the church shed, that's when Ross saw shattered glass on the church floor and an unfamiliar object on the ground.
"It had gas in it with a tail out of it," he said. "Beside it, it had two pieces of rolled up newspaper that someone tried to light."
Ross says he believes the intent was to throw the bottle in the church and then set fire to the gasoline.
"Well the bottle never broke, thank God," he said.
Police are now investigating the incident.
