A man was pulled from a chemical tanker at the Port of Wilmington Tank Wash early Monday night by firefighters and emergency responders. The Holloway Terrace Fire Department, assisted by about a dozen other units in the area, was called at 5:23 p.m. to the 500 block of Lambson Lane near New Castle for reports of a person collapsed inside a tank, said Mark Willis, chief of the Holloway Terrace Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, they found the man unconscious inside a tractor trailer tank that he had been cleaning, Willis said. New Castle County paramedics said the man reported becoming dizzy and tried to remove himself from the tanker, but ultimately fell and collapsed inside.
