At around 1 p.m. Wednesday, Danbury Fire Department crews were dispatched to the area of Wildman Street and Austin Street for the report of a porch on fire. “Upon arrival units found a small fire on the steps of the porch being extinguished by a good Samaritan. Fortunately the damage was minimal,” the department posted on its Facebook page. “Crews overhauled the burned area for the Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate the cause. The cause of the fire is being investigated and undetermined at this time.” No one was home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
