Simply put, it’s fun to spend the day with the Golden Fire Department. “They’re always super friendly,” said Tamara Sturdavant, Golden City Brewery’s general manager. “It’s hard to imagine the community without them.” On Sept. 8, the Golden community will have two opportunities to interact with, learn from and support the Golden Fire Department. In partnership with the University of Colorado Burn Center and Colorado State Patrol, Golden Fire Department is hosting its eight annual Safety and Preparedness Da, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at Golden Fire Station #1, 911 10th St., in downtown Golden.
