A person was hospitalized with symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning after staying at the Hyatt Place Boulder two weeks ago, but the hotel was not evacuated until the hospital called the fire department to respond. Boulder Fire Rescue spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh said firefighters got a call on Nov. 18 from a hospital where a person who had been at the hotel had been diagnosed with possible carbon monoxide poisoning. Officials with Hyatt Place Boulder declined to comment when called by the Camera about the issue. Firefighters responded to the hotel, 2280 Junction Place, and found carbon monoxide readings at 50 parts per million (ppm) in the lobby, prompting firefighters to evacuate the hotel.
