Firefighters from the Sterling Fire Department were called to a car fire in the 1600 block of Evans Street in Sterling Tuesday morning at around 8 a.m.. According to Fire Chief Lavon Ritter, the blaze was caused by an electrical problem when the car was left running to warm up. The flames were contained to the engine compartment of the vehicle, and were out within minutes of the fire crews' arrival.
