Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze that ignited early Tuesday morning at the Acura dealership on Stevens Creek Boulevard.
The fire, first reported at 6:30 a.m., sent plumes of black smoke above the dealership at 4747 Stevens Creek. When firefighters first arrived to the scene, they reported heavy smoke in the area and went inside the service bay area of the dealership to battle the blaze, according to Santa Clara Fire Chief Bill Kelly.
The incident commander at the scene became concerned over the condition of the building and pulled crews out, Kelly said. “Fire erupted through the roof, and the roof then collapsed,” Kelly said.
There were no reports of injuries, Kelly said.
