PHOTO: An emergency drill coordinated with the City of Willcox had first responders performing at topnotch levels last Tuesday at Northern Cochise Community hospital. The emergency drill incorporated multiple responding vehicles and also included a large simulator. The exercise is one of several that is practiced throughout the year, prepping hospital employees and working as an educational base for other emergency response agencies. Using the hospital helicopter, multiple agencies performed a simulation in which the helicopter landed improperly and its fuel tank was punctured. This scenario called for mass casualties and use of a hazmat team to clean up the simulated fuel leak.
