VIDEO: A man was hospitalized after he escaped a Phoenix house fire by going through a window, firefighters said. The house fire happened near Seventh Avenue and Bethany Home Road Monday night. The 49-year-old man made it through the front window in order to avoid the flames, according to Capt. Ardell Deliz with the Phoenix Fire Department. He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition from smoke inhalation. Deliz said the fire is under control and an investigation is underway.
