Being lauded among one’s peers is an honor, but even more so when they’re the ones elevating you to that status. During a ceremony held last month, Fry Fire District recognized three of their own for their efforts in 2016. Among those honored are Michael Kean for the Firefighter of the Year, Phillip Allred for Emergency Medical Professional of the Year, and James Engols is this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award. Each year, members of Fry Fire District nominate their co-workers for those three distinctions.
