VIDEO: Local fire districts are looking to hit the skies to help in critical rescue and fire operations. The Northwest Fire District just purchased its first drone, and is planning to launch it in coming months. It will help provide a visual aid for firefighters that could keep them safe. “When you send firefighters into a building, one of our biggest concerns is that the roof is stable, hasn't been compromised, and isn't going to collapse in on them,” explained Captain Brian Keeley. “So to be able to get an aerial view where we can see that structure, that's going to be a big aid to us.”
