As of press time, the Fife Fire has reached 85-percent containment. “Firefighters had help from mother nature and thanks to significant rainfall in the area, the Fife Fire is getting closer to containment,” according to Tiffany Davila, with the Arizona State Forestry Division. “The fire activity is settling down and continues to smolder through dry, desert vegetation 15 miles northeast of Sunizona and just west of the Chiricahua National Monument.”
