A downed power pole has closed North La Cholla Boulevard to all traffic between West Wetmore Road and West Gardner Lane, authorities said. A Northwest Fire spokesman said electric lines never touched the truck and firefighters safely extricated the driver, who was uninjured. TEP shut down power to the area as a precaution. La Cholla will be closed between La Osa and Gardner while crews replace the pole and wires.
