Vehicle fully engulfed in flames on Cedar Pocket off-ramp near Littlefield

A car caught fire on Interstate 15 near Littlefield, Arizona, and was fully engulfed in flames within minutes as fire crews responded to the burning vehicle in the Virgin River Gorge. Shortly after 1 p.m. emergency responders were dispatched to a car fire that was reported on Interstate 15 southbound at the Cedar Pocket off-ramp, St. George Fire Capt. Tyler Talbot said. Upon arrival firefighters saw flames coming from the Honda and were able to extinguish the blaze. “We were sent to the scene to assist Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire Department and sent an Engine 28 from Station 8 that was able to respond and extinguish the fire,” Talbot said.
