After a few days of heavy rain and more is on its way, the Little Rock Fire Department is proactively staffing two extra swift water rescue crews just for the flood potential.
High water is rushing through Boyle Park in Little Rock. The overflowing creek, and potential for more rain, causing the Little Rock Fire Department to put extra staff on the clock that is dedicated to rescuing people from high water
"We have six additional firefighters on duty in addition to the other staff positions," said Little Rock Fire Department Captain Jacob Lear-Sadowsky.
Captain Joey Whitaker is in charge of the water rescue team based out of West Little Rock.
