A man was injured in a vehicle fire shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday at the roundabout on Farris and Prince streets in Conway. Fire Chief Mike Winter said it was a single-vehicle, single-occupant crash. It is unclear what caused the vehicle to ignite. However, responders suspect the man, who ran over at least one sign, cut either a gas or an oil line. Witnesses reported seeing flames spark from underneath the vehicle before it came to a stop Tuesday. The Conway Fire Department received the call of the vehicle fire at 12:48 p.m. and was on scene by 12:51 p.m. Winter said the fire was out within five minutes but that CFD remained on scene to clear the road, noting traffic was partially blocked along Farris and Prince streets following the incident.
