A family is safe after a fire broke out at their home on the the 300 block of Casey Lane in Rogers.
The Rogers Fire Department was called to the scene just before 8 PM. They said the fire started in the basement, but the cause has not been determined. Matthew Dickson, the owner of the home, told 40/29 News that he and his family had just moved into the house on Friday.
No one was injured, but the family did lose a pet hamster due to smoke inhalation.
