Hot Springs Fire Department firefighters survey the damage to a mobile home at 107 Skyview Terrace after a fire erupted in the home early Friday. Firefighters got the call shortly after 6:30 a.m. and had the fire under control within about 15 minutes, HSFD Assistant Fire Marshal Carlton Scott said. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it appeared to have started in a bedroom. Five people were home at the time and all escaped uninjured, but one dog was later found deceased and some kittens were seriously injured. Scott said the residence was a total loss.
