The Fayetteville Fire Department invites the public to join them for the double christening of the City’s two newest firefighting apparatus, Engine 1 and Rescue 1. The event will take place at Fire Station #1 (303 W. Center Street) on Monday, July 24 at 4:30 p.m.
These new pumpers are built on a Pierce Arrow XT cab with heavy-duty narrow chassis for a maneuverable fire truck in tight narrow city streets. They include a rugged all-metal interior for long term durability. The rescue pumper is custom-designed from Fayetteville’s specifications to carry all types of rescue equipment as well as structural firefighting hoses, nozzles, and ladders.
