Fire Chief Shauwn Howell announced on Tuesday the following promotions: Engineer Cathy Braswell promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, Firefighter Joseph Moring promoted to the rank of Engineer, and Firefighter Chris Geiggar promoted to the rank of Engineer.
A promotion ceremony will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Fire & Emergency Services Training Facility.
Lieutenant Cathy Braswell, a 20 year veteran of the fire department, was the first female firefighter hired by the Pine Bluff Fire Department in 1997. With this promotion Lieutenant Braswell has now made department history by being the first female promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
