Russellville Fire Department places new apparatus Ladder 1 in service

The Russellville Fire Department recently acquired an new apparatus that was placed in service on Wednesday, August 3 at 10 a.m. Upon being placed in service, Truck 1 was renamed Ladder 2 and is now being housed at RFD Station 4. RFD's Ladder 1 will join Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Engine 4, Ladder 2, Reserve Engines 5, Squad 1, Hazmat 1, and Brush 1, and will be housed at Central Station. Ladder 1 is a 2016 Rosenbauer Viper Aerial with a 109' ladder on a Commander Chassis with a Cummins 500hp motor. It has a 2000 gallon per minute Waterous single-stage pump and carries 500 gallons of water. A nozzle on the tip of the aerial ladder is capable of flowing 1250 gallons of water per minute. Ladder 1 also has an on board Kubota generator.
