A fire early this morning damaged a house in the Zip City community. Reports indicate the fire was reported just before 7 a.m. at a residence in the 100 block of Oak Shore Drive. The house was fully involved when firefighters arrived at the residence, which is off of Lauderdale 7, north of Florence. Firefighters at the scene said the homeowner was at home when the fire started. He and his dog were able to get out without any injuries. Authorities said one entire end of the house was fully involved when the first firefighters arrived.
