Broomtown, Gaylesville, Cedar Bluff and Tucker’s Chapel Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a structure fire at a residence on County Road 81 at approximately 4:00 Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find heavy flames coming from the mobile home. Cherokee County Sheriff’s office deputies and investigators along with Cherokee Electric crews were called to the scene. The exact cause of the fire is not known and remains under investigation. We will have additional information as soon as it is available.
