The Grant Fire Department has applied for an Assistance to Firefighters federal grant for the purpose of buying a new truck.
But what the Town of Grant really needs, members of the Council say, is for the citizens to approve the fire district fee to help fund the department.
The fire department, its equipment and funding came up at the Council's meeting Monday night.
Grant Town Councilman Shawn Rice said the truck they’re looking to buy is used and will be a little over $200,000.
