"Usually response time is 3-5 minutes from anywhere in our coverage area," says Fire Chief James "Peanut" Stewart.
Serving the people of the Limrock Aspel community is priority number one for James Peanut Stewart. In fact, that's what motivated this Volunteer Fire Chief to create the department more than 27 years ago.
"We wasn't close to a fire department anywhere. We was six miles from Woodville, ten miles from Scottsboro,"
You can see just how much the community returns that support at the annual barbeque. Just last year, the fundraiser brought in more than $10,000 for the department.
